The owner of a 2008 Nissan 350 contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that her vehicle had been stolen from the 5800 block of Palm.  The owner had met a man in the parking lot who agreed to repair something on her vehicle.  The owner handed the Nissan keys to the man and went into a nearby business to work.  Later she realized that the man and the Ford were both gone and figured out that it had been stolen so she notified the police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

5 minutes later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Rochelle where they located the Nissan unoccupied and unharmed.  The Nissan was then recovered and towed for safekeeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan 350 in June of 2009 at Lithia Nissan, Fresno, California.
