The owners of a 2018 Ford Mustang contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the Lot of their dealership in the 5400 Block of Drexel.  The Ford had been locked behind a locked gate prior to the dealership closing and when the owners arrived at the dealership in the morning they found damage to the gate and the Ford missing.  They then checked surveillance video which showed a male burglarize the key lock-box to retrieve the key.  The male then got into the Ford and started it, then drove the Ford through the gate and left the area.  The owners then notified the police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later officers in a helicopter from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a residential neighborhood about a mile from the dealership in the 5100 Block of Juliano where they found it abandoned.  Ground units were called in to recover the Ford.  The Ford was then recovered and towed for safekeeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Mustang in July of 2018 at Team Ford, Las Vegas, Nevada.
