The owners of a 2005 Ford F250 contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the driveway of their residence in the 5700 block of Deer Valley.  The owners kept all of the keys to the Ford in the Ford relying on the keypad to get into it.  They had parked and locked it and left it for the night. The next morning they found it missing and notified the police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the intersection of Christy and Lake Mead where the located the Ford Unoccupied.  The Ford was found unharmed and two sets of keys were still inside it.  The Ford was recovered and returned back to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F-250 in January of 2007 and was a Nevada Direct Purchase Customer.
