The owners of a 2018 Ford F750 contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from a work site location in the city of Temecula.

Riverside County Sheriff’s Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Within 28 minutes, deputies from San Diego County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford F-750 with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the vehicle to the 19000 block of Japatul Road in the city of Alpine.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford as a commercial install in June 2018.
