The owners of a 2006 Nissan Altima contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the driveway of their home in the 3800 block of Climbing Fern.  The owners had parked the Nissan and secured it prior to going to bed.  During the night, while they were sleeping, someone entered their home and burglarized it taking numerous items of property as well as the keys to the Nissan.  When the owners awoke in the morning they discovered the burglary and also discovered that their Nissan was missing at which point they notified police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

A short while later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the intersection of 9th and Lindon where they found the Nissan occupied by two males.  The males jumped out of the Nissan and began to run on foot but were taken into custody by the officers.  The Nissan as well as many other stolen items that belonged to the owners were recovered.  The two males were both arrested for multiple charges and the Nissan was towed for evidence processing.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Altima in October of 2006 at, United Nissan, Las Vegas, Nevada.
