The owners of a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the 5400 block of Holbrook.  The owners had parked in and left it locked in front of their residence.  When they returned to use it they found it missing so they notified police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

A short while later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a residential address in the 4200 block of Carolyn where they found the Chevrolet unoccupied.  The Chevrolet was then recovered and returned back to the owners.  .

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Suburban in May of 2001 at Team Chevrolet, Pasadena, California.
