The owners of a 2006 Honda Accord contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.  he owners had borrowed the vehicle to a friend for a specific task and time period.  When the friend failed to return it they contacted the friend who refused to bring it back.  After the owners sent a demand letter to the friend the friend still refused to bring it back so the owners contacted police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

10 minutes later officers from Berkeley Police Department in California picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to and address on Oakland, California where they found it unoccupied.  The officers recovered the Honda and towed it for safekeeping

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in October of 2005 at Shack Findlay Honda, Henderson, Nevada.
