The owner of a 2006 Toyota Sienna contacted the Santa Clara Police Department to report that their vehicles had been stolen. The owner advised the vehicle was taken from the driveway of their residence in the 700 block of Fairlane Avenue in the overnight hours.

The Santa Clara Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2006 Toyota Sienna.

A short time later, officers from the San Jose Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota Sienna with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Toyota to a residential area on Boynton Avenue near Payne Avenue, where the vehicle was found unoccupied, parked at the curb.

The Toyota Sienna was recovered by San Jose PD and towed/stored for safe keeping to be returned back to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2006 Toyota Sienna in May of 2006, at Magnussen’s Toyota, in Palo Alto, CA.
