LoJack System Helps New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit Recover a Stolen 2018 Bentley Bentayga

The owners of a 2018 Bentley Bentayga called the Deal Police Department to report that during the night his vehicle was stolen from the driveway of his home in Deal. The keys were in the vehicle when it was stolen.

The Deal Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2018 Bentley Bentayga.

A short while later, detectives from the New Jersey State Police Auto Theft Task Force were notified by the State Police Helicopter that they were picking up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Bentley with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that is installed in the helicopter.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Aviation Unit tracked the vehicle to North 12th Street in the City of Newark. The Aviation Unit radioed the location of the Bentley to ground units from the Auto Theft Task Force, The ground units moved in on the stolen Bentley and took the two occupants into custody.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2018 Bentley Bentayga in March of 2018 at Maserati-Ferrari-Bentley of Central, N.J.
