The owner of a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that his vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of his apartment complex in the 1400 block of North Lamb.  The owner had parked and locked the Chevrolet and left it for the night.  Upon returning the next morning he found it missing so he notified the police.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

9 minutes later officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a nearby residential neighborhood in the 1400 block of Dresden Doll where they were able to locate it unoccupied.  The officers recovered the Chevrolet and returned it back to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Tahoe in May of 2012 at CarMax, Henderson, Nevada.
