LoJack System Helps Pierce County Sheriff’s Department Recover a Stolen Dodge Ram

The owner of this Dodge Ram came home from work only to discover someone had broken into his house, found the keys and drove off with his truck. This happened in the 25900 block of 68th Avenue East near Graham. He reported the crimes to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Just twelve minutes later, the Pierce County SD deputies picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge truck on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in their patrol cars. Following directional and audible cues from the PTC, they tracked the signal to the 7200 block of Pacific Avenue South where it was located abandoned in a parking lot for a department store. The Dodge did not appear to be damaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Dodge Ram in January 2006 at Milam Inc. in Puyallup, Washington.
