The owner of a 2015 Honda Accord contacted the Daly City Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. The Honda was taken during the overnight hours from the victim’s address on Glenbrook Avenue.

The Daly City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Accord.

A short time later, officers from the San Francisco Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Accord with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) which are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Honda to a parking lot at 900 7th Street, where they found the vehicle unoccupied.

The Honda was recovered and released to the owner at the scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in September 2017 at BMW of San Francisco in California.
