The owners of a 2015 GMC Denali had their home burglarized and their vehicle stolen.

A police officer with the Denver Police Department verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This routine action on the part of law enforcement automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the GMC.

Eight-minutes later police officers with the Denver PD District Five and District Two and Aurora Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen GMC with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTCs, Denver PD officers tracked the GMC to the parking lot of a department store at a large shopping center at Northfield. There they contacted the GMC and arrested two suspects. The criminals were jailed for 2nd degree burglary and aggravated motor vehicle theft.

Undoubtedly other crimes this pair were intent on committing were prevented.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 GMC Denali in October 2014 at Transwest GMC in Henderson, Colorado, at the request of these owners.
