The owner of a 2006 Cadillac DTS contacted the Dallas Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. The owner parked his Cadillac at an auto parts store, leaving the keys in the ignition. When he returned, he found his Cadillac missing.

The Dallas PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

Ten minutes later, officers from the Dallas PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Cadillac to the 8300 block of Abrams Rd. Officers observed a suspect driving the stolen Cadillac in a store parking lot. Officers were able to stop the stolen Cadillac and arrest the suspect. The Cadillac was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac DTS in October 2006 at Ken Batchelor Cadillac in San Antonio, Texas.
