The owner of a 2016 Jeep Renegade called the Albuquerque Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen. The Jeep was reported stolen from the area of Indian School and 12th Street in the Valley Area Command. The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jeep.

Shortly after the activation, a vehicle equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jeep. Officers with the Albuquerque PD observed the Jeep in the parking lot of a business in the area of Louisiana and Constitution in the Southeast Area Command. The Jeep was unoccupied, unlocked and was recovered at the scene. The Jeep was subsequently towed from the scene for safekeeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jeep Renegade in December 2016 at Mark’s Casa Chrysler Jeep in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
