Recovered Honda Accord

The owner of a 2016 Honda Accord called the Union City Police Department to report that his vehicle had been stolen. The customer told the police that he had parked the Honda in front of his house for the evening and in the morning it was gone. The customer also called the LoJack Call Center to report the theft.

The Union City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Accord.

A short time later, officers from the Union City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to 10th Street in Union City, not far from where it was taken from. The Honda was recovered parked and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2016 Honda Accord in December 2016 at Hudson Honda in West New York, New Jersey.
