The owner of the Suzuki GSXR1000 had it parked in his driveway of his home. When he got up in the morning he found the motorcycle missing. This was in the town of Hempstead, Long Island. he reviewed his video tape and saw a male taking his bike. He immediately called the Hempstead Police Department and they took a written report. The Hempstead PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Suzuki.

A while later the silent LoJack signal was picked up in New York City by the Detectives of the Auto Crime Division. This was in the Bellerose section of Queens confines of the 105precinct. They tracked the signal through various streets in Bellerose where it eventually led them to a private house. Once it was confirmed that the signal was coming from the rear yard a Search Warrant was obtained. Once the Search Warrant was executed the bike was located chained up in the rear of the house. After an investigation the detectives arrested a male for possession of the Suzuki.

The owner was contacted and he was elated that his Suzuki was recovered and especially that it was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2007 Suzuki GSXR1000 in January 2008 at Two Wheel Corporation in Mineola, New York.
