The owner of a 2004 Buick LeSabre contacted the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office to report their vehicle was stolen from their residence.  The Bernalillo County SO verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Buick.

Shortly after the activation, the Albuquerque Police Department Auto Theft Detectives picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Buick with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their undercover vehicles.  Detectives tracked the Buick into the Southwest Area Command and determined the Buick was mobile.  A deputy with the Bernalillo County SO picked up the LoJack signal with his PTC in the North Valley Area Command and the Buick was still mobile.

The Buick finally came to a stop along 2nd Street in the North Valley Area Command.  Deputies observed the Buick parked backwards in front of an apartment complex.  The Buick was unoccupied and appeared to be in good condition.  The owner was notified of the recovery and will be reunited with their Buick.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Buick LeSabre in June 2004 at Enterprise Car Sales in Covina, California.
