The owner of a 2016 Jeep Patriot called the New Mexico State Police to report their vehicle was stolen from their residence while it was warming up in Veguita, Socorro County.  The NM State Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jeep Patriot.

Within minutes after the activation, officers with the NM State Police and deputies with the Valencia County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jeep with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Deputies determined the Jeep was mobile and tracked it into the Meadow Lake section of Valencia County.  The Jeep was contacted and the driver, identified as a repeat auto theft offender, was taken into custody.  The Jeep was recovered and towed from the scene for safe keeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jeep Patriot in June 2016 at Brad Francis Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Los Lunas, New Mexico.
