The owner of a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the area of 1000 Bristol Place in Baltimore City.  The Baltimore City PD Radio dispatched an officer from the 9th District to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the Chevrolet. When the officer was unable to locate the Chevrolet a stolen vehicle report was prepared. The officer then arranged for the stolen vehicle information to be entered into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet Trailblazer.

A short while later, officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet Trailblazer with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officers tracked the Chevrolet to the area of 2100 W Lafayette Avenue in the Midtown Edmondson area of Baltimore City. At this location officers located the Chevrolet parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Chevrolet was then recovered by police and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer in October 2002 at JBA Chevrolet in Baltimore, Maryland.
