The owners of a 2016 Ford Escape contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.  The owners had parked their Ford in the parking lot of their apartment complex in the 2200 block of North Buffalo.  They inadvertently left a key in the console of the Ford when they went inside.  When they returned the next day to use the Ford it was missing.

A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

10 minutes later officers from the North Las Vegas Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officers tracked the Ford to the parking lot of a church in the 800 block of East Washburn.  The Ford was unoccupied and unharmed.  The Ford was recovered and released back to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Escape in February 2016 at Team Ford in Las Vegas, Nevada.
