The owner of this Cadillac Escalade left the car for service at a business located in the 9200 block of South Tacoma Way in Lakewood.  After the Cadillac was serviced an employee parked it in a secured fenced lot behind the business.  Keys were left in the Cadillac.  Sometime during a three hour period the Cadillac was stolen from that lot.  When the theft was discovered it was reported to the Lakewood Police Department.  They verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

That same afternoon, a Washington State trooper received the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Escalade on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following directional and audible cues the trooper located the Cadillac at 54th and Pacific Highway in Fife.  Three occupants in the Cadillac were placed under arrest.  After interviewing all suspects, two were released and one male was booked into jail.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac Escalade in June 2008 at McCann Motors in Fife, Washington.
