This Toyota Camry was stolen when the owner left it running while using an ATM located in the 5700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Portland.  The theft was immediately reported to the Portland Police Bureau who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Approximately one hour later, a Portland PB officer picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

The officer tracked the Toyota to SE 134th Drive and SE 138th Drive in Portland.  A suspect in the Toyota was taken into custody and booked into jail.  The Toyota did not appear to be damaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Toyota Camry in August 2007 at Ardmore Toyota in Pennsylvania, at the request of the owner when he lived in Pennsylvania.
