The owners of 2016 Toyota Tundra contacted the Gwinnett County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen during the night while they were at home asleep.

The Gwinnett County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Tundra.

A short while later the Gwinnett County PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Tundra with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  By following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officers tracked the Toyota to an apartment complex where it was found abandoned. A detective was called to the scene to print the Toyota and possible arrest.

The Toyota was towed to a local towing service until the owner could be notified of the recovery.

The LoJack® System was installed in Toyota Tundra in May 2016 at Atlanta Toyota in Duluth, Georgia.
