The owner of a Toyota Sienna contacted the Riverside Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of Riverside.

The Riverside PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

At a later time, officers from the Riverside PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to the 2900 block of Van Buren in the city of Riverside. A high risk traffic stop was made; one suspect was arrested for vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and a no bail warrant out of Orange County.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Sienna in March 2006 at Toyota Central in Los Angeles, California.
