The owner of a 2015 Land Rover Range Rover contacted the Arlington Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home located in the 2500 block 11th Street North in the North Arlington area of Arlington, Virginia. Arlington Police Radio dispatched an officer to investigate the incident. The officer quickly arrived on location, interviewed the complainant and surveyed the area for the subject vehicle. When the officer was unable to locate the vehicle, a stolen vehicle report were prepared. Arlington Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2015 Land Rover Range Rover.

A short while later officers from the Prince George’s County Police Department in Maryland picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen 2015 Land Rover Range Rover with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 2300 block of Kent Village Drive in Landover, Maryland. At that location, officers observed the vehicle parked and unoccupied. Officers recovered the vehicle and notified the owner.

Approximate value of vehicle: $ 110,750.00

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Land Rover Range Rover during February, 2015 at Land Rover of Alexandria in Alexandria, Virginia.
