LoJack® System Helps Pueblo Police Department Recover Stolen Honda Accord
- March 8, 2017
- Law Enforcement
The owners of a Honda Accord contacted the Pueblo PD to report that their vehicle had been stolen.
A
police officer verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This routine action on the part of law
enforcement automatically activated the LoJack® System
concealed in the Honda.
Later that same day detectives with the Pueblo PD and Investigators with the
BATTLE Auto Theft Task Force picked up the silent LoJack homing signals coming from
the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are
installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.
Following the directional and audible cues from the PTCs, these officers tracked and located the vehicle.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in 2009 at Vidmar Motor Company in Pueblo at the request of a previous owner of the vehicle.
