This BMW was stolen from the owners residence located in the 1200 block of 131st Place SW near Lynnwood.  The theft was reported to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the BMW.

Less than ten minutes later, a Snohomish County Sheriff deputy and a Washington State Patrol trooper picked up the silent LoJack signal transmitting from the stolen BMW.  Following directional and audible cues, the car was located in the 200 block of 128th Street SW in Everett. One suspect in the car was detained.  The investigation is continuing to identify additional persons involved in the theft.

The LoJack® System was installed in this BMW in November of 2009 when it was purchased as a used car and the owner wisely decided to have LoJack installed.
