The owner of a 2007 Kawasaki ZX1000D7F Ninja ZX-10R motorcycle parked their motorcycle in front of their home. The next morning when they attempted to use it, they discovered it missing. They contacted the Broward County Sheriff’s Office to report their vehicle stolen. The responding deputy prepared a stolen vehicle report, theft affidavit and had the vehicle’s information entered into the state and federal crime information computers.

Immediately upon activation, while on routine patrol, a Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputy picked up the silent LoJack signal emanating from the stolen ZX1000D7F Ninja ZX-10R motorcycle on their on-board LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC). The deputy began tracking the stolen vehicle by following the directional and audible cues on their PTC’s screen. The deputy, along with their backup, located the motorcycle abandoned parked in a parking space in the 600 block of Anderson Circle in an apartment complex. The motorcycle was recovered, towed to the police impound yard for safekeeping, and removed from state and federal crime information computer systems.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2007 Kawasaki ZX1000D7F Ninja ZX-10R motorcycle at Motorsports of Fort Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale – Florida in October, 2006.
