The owners of a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence during the nighttime period.

The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Suzuki motorcycle.

Later patrol deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Suzuki motorcycle with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the motorcycle to a storage facility at 6800 Gant in North Harris County.  The motorcycle was located by using a LoJack Hand Held Tracker (HHT). The HHT was utilized, the storage unit was identified and a search warrant was issued for the storage unit. The storage unit was entered and the stolen Suzuki was located inside. In addition six (6) more complete sports bikes were recovered that were reported stolen to local agencies. Engines and partially stripped frames were also recovered. A suspect has been identified and felony warrants issued by the district attorney’s office.
