The owners of a 2006 Suzuki Motorcycle contacted the Braintree Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.  They had last seen the motorcycle the evening before at 10:30 PM when they went to bed.  In the morning, they noticed that their motorcycle had been stolen.

The Braintree PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Suzuki.

Within minutes officers from the Randolph Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Suzuki with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Suzuki to a residence on Wales Avenue.  Tracking the signal, the officers went to the rear of the residence where a box truck was parked.  The rear of the box truck was open and in plain sight, the officers could see two motorcycles including one matching the description of the Suzuki stolen in Braintree.  Officers verified the Vehicle Identification Number of the motorcycle as the stolen Braintree vehicle.

Further investigation revealed that the second motorcycle in the truck was also stolen and was in fact stolen from the house next door to the owner of the Suzuki in Braintree.  The Randolph PD are continuing their investigation into the people who were found at the residence including a middle aged female who owns the residence and four other adults who were present including the renter of the box truck.  Charges are expected to be filed against numerous persons in this case.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Suzuki in July 2006 at South Shore Motor Sports in Quincy, Massachusetts.
