The owners of a 2006 Suzuki GSX R1000 motorcycle contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the garage during a residential burglary.

The Phoenix PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Suzuki.

Fifteen minutes later, officers from the Phoenix PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Suzuki with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Suzuki to the neighborhood near 43rd Avenue and Northern.

The officers located the stolen motorcycle in the alley, concealed behind a dumpster.  The auto theft detectives responded and conducted surveillance on the Suzuki.  No suspects were observed coming back to the motorcycle, so it was later recovered in good condition.  The Suzuki was processed for evidence and returned to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Suzuki GSX R1000 motorcycle in June 2006 at Ridenow Powersports in Peoria, Arizona.
