This Lexus RX330 was stolen sometime during the night from the owner’s garage located in the 4500 block of NE 18th in Renton. Keys were in the Lexus.

When the crime was discovered it was reported to the Renton Police Department who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus RX330.

Less than one hour later, a Renton PD officer, equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC), picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Lexus was located in a driveway of a residence in the 15000 block of 133rd Avenue SE in Renton. A suspect was interviewed at the scene. The Lexus was not damaged but was believed used in other criminal activity. It was impounded and processed for evidence. The investigation is continuing.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus RX330 in November 2004 at Lexus of Bellevue in Washington.
