The owner of a 2014 Dodge Charger contacted the Newark Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from in front of his apartment building on 18th Ave, in the City of Newark.

The Newark PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge Charger.

A short while later, officers from the Essex County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Dodge, with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Dodge to Springfield Ave, in the City of Newark, where the vehicle was found parked. The Dodge was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2014 Dodge Charger in March 2014 at Autoland in Springfield, New Jersey.
