The owners of a Lexus E350 stopped at a liquor store and went inside; lurking thieves then stole their car.

The owners called the Aurora Police Department and a police officer verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

Just minutes later officers with the Denver Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Denver PD officers tracked the Lexus to East 16th Avenue and Elmira Street where the vehicle was found abandoned.  The Aurora PD was called to the scene and affected the recovery.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus E350 in 2009 at Bay Ridge Luxury Lexus in Brooklyn, New York.
