The owner of a 2007 Audi A3 contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen while parked at Villa Road in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Audi.

Within a few minutes, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Audi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Audi to a residential neighborhood located in the 2900 block of De Anza Road in San Diego.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Audi A3 in January 2007 at Rusnak Pasadena Audi in California.
