The owners of a 2005 Ford F350 contacted the Clayton County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen after the owner found it missing from his home.

The owner came out to go to work and found his Ford truck missing. The Clayton County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford truck.

A short while later a Clayton County PD officer picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford truck with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to a parking lot where the officer thought it may have been left there to cool off.
A Clayton County PD detective was called to the scene to process the truck for prints and possible arrest.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F350 in March 2005 via Direct Sales in Georgia.
