The owner of a Honda Accord contacted the Austin Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. The owner parked his Honda at a convenience store and left it running while he went inside to pay for gas. When he returned to his Honda he found it missing.
The Austin PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Thirty four minutes later, officers from the Austin PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Honda to a fast food restaurant, where they observed it driving out of the parking lot. Officers were able to stop the stolen Honda and arrest the driver. The Honda was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in September 2004 at Boch Honda in Norwood, Massachusetts.
