LoJack® System Helps Houston Police Department Recover Stolen 2007 Toyota Tacoma

The owners of a 2007 Toyota Tacoma pickup contacted the Houston Police Department to report that he parked his vehicle in the pharmacy parking lot and when he returned the vehicle had been stolen.
The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota pickup.

A short while officers from the Houston PD picked up the signal from the stolen Toyota pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers were directed to a retail parking lot near downtown. Officer’s observation of the Toyota, no damage, locked, and personal property inside. The owner came to the location and took possession of the Toyota.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2007 Toyota Tacoma in August 2007 at Centennial Toyota in Las Vegas, Nevada.
