The owner of a Honda CBR600 motorcycle reported to the New York Police Department that her motorcycle had been stolen. The owner of the motorcycle had just come home from work at about 2:50 AM. She parked her motorcycle underneath her first floor window on the sidewalk. About 10 minutes later she heard some noise outside her window, when she looked out her bike was gone. She immediately called the Police of the 94 precinct, Greenpoint Brooklyn. When the Police arrived they took a written report for her vehicle, this information was then brought to the Station House.
The 94 precinct verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed on the Honda.

A short while later the silent LoJack signal was picked up in the confines of the 90 precinct. The signal was picked up on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in Police patrol vehicles. The signal was tracked following the directional and audible cues from the PTC. It led to a parking lot in a City Housing Development in the confines of the 90 precinct, Williamsburg Brooklyn. The bike was located behind a car in the lot, in the corner covered by a bike cover.
The bike was recovered with minor damage to the ignition. Other than that it was in good condition. The owner was notified of the recovery and was present on the scene. She was ecstatic that her bike was recovered so quickly, especially with such minor damage. She further stated she was happy that her bike was equipped with the LoJack device when she bought the bike, if not it may not have been recovered at all. She went on to say that there was video surveillance of the incident on the cameras installed on her building which show two males tampering with the ignition and then walking away with the bike. The Detectives were notified of this and were in the process of acquiring the tapes for their review.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2005 Honda CBR600 in November 2005 by Rick Case Cycles in Davie, Florida.
