This Lexus ES350 was stolen from a used car dealership in Renton. The exact date of theft was not known but was discovered when an inventory of the lot was completed.

When the theft was realized, it was reported to the Renton Police Department who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

That same morning, a King County Sheriff’s Office deputy picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Lexus was located in the 13445 Martin Luther King Way South. It was abandoned and appeared undamaged.

The dealer was called to the scene to take possession of the Lexus. They had taken the Lexus in on trade and had no idea it was equipped with LoJack.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus ES350 in December 2007 by Lexus Kearny Mesa in San Diego, California.
