The owner of a 2016 Audi RS7 was out of the country when he was advised that his home had been burglarized and his Audi was stolen. The Las Vegas Metro Police Department was called to report the residential burglary and auto theft. The LVMPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Audi.

Within 13 minutes of the activation, Officers with the North Las Vegas Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Audi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Officers tracked the Audi finding it parked and abandoned. The NLVPD Investigators with the Problem Solving Unit took over the investigation. Investigators are following active leads to the theft of the Audi and several other nefarious capers the offenders were involved in while using the stolen Audi. The Audi was recovered and will be returned to the owner.
