The owner of a Honda Odyssey contacted the El Cajon Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from her residence in the city of El Cajon.
The El Cajon PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Within fifteen minutes, officers from the San Diego Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to a commercial area near the 500 block of Hotel Circle in San Diego. A traffic stop was made and after a foot pursuit the suspect was taken into custody for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Odyssey in March 2003 by Poway Honda in California.
