The owners of a 2010 Toyota Camry contacted the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 office to report that their vehicle was stolen from the driveway of their residence.

The Constable’s office verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the State and Federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota Camry.

A short while later a Trooper from the Texas Department of Public Safety picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Camry with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Trooper tracked the Camry to a large apartment complex off FM 1960 where the vehicle was parked and abandoned. The Camry was recovered pending notification of the owner. No suspects in the case.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in October 2009 by Mike Calvert Toyota in Houston, Texas.
