The owners of a 2004 Infiniti G35 contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their home was burglarized and their vehicle was stolen from the garage using the keys from inside the home.

The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the State and Federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

A short while later officers from the Houston PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Infiniti and overtook it travelling on a public street in Houston, Texas. Officers observed the Infiniti was occupied with four suspects. Officers then initiated a traffic stop and the Infiniti pulled to the side of the street. The driver immediately jumped from the Infiniti and fled the location on foot. The three other passengers were quickly arrested and charged with various narcotics violations and outstanding warrants.  Officers called for a K-9 officer and the driver was arrested shortly without incident. The Infiniti was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2004 Infiniti G35 in November 2003 by Southwest Infiniti in Houston, Texas.
