The owners of a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R1000 contacted the Howard County Police Department to report that their motorcycle was stolen from their home in the 7000 block Gentle Shade in the Columbia area of Howard County, Maryland.

The Howard County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Suzuki.

A short while later detectives from the Washington Area Vehicle Enforcement picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Suzuki with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the Suzuki to the 5800 block Huntland Road in the Temple Hills area of Prince George’s County, Maryland. At that location, detectives located the stolen motorcycle inside the home after the execution of a search warrant. A theft suspect was also arrested on the scene after completion of the investigation.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2006 Suzuki GSX-R1000 in February 2011 by Cycle World in Brooklyn, Maryland.
