The owner of a 2007 Suzuki GSXR 600 contacted the Crown Point Police Department to report that their motorcycle had been stolen. The Crown Point PD responded to the scene and after verifying facts as presented entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Suzuki motorcycle.

Hours later a vehicle equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC), that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Suzuki motorcycle.  The signal was tracked to a garage located in the 600 block of east 28th Street in Harbor Station Indiana.  The Station Harbor Police Department officers on scene obtained consent to search the garage from the residence owner who stated her boyfriend’s friend had just moved something into the garage yesterday with her permission.

The Suzuki was found inside the garage.  The Suzuki was recovered undamaged and returned to owner before it could be re-tagged or parted out.  The Harbor Landing PD along with the Crown Point PD continues to seek to interview the identified suspect in this motorcycle theft and recovery, police investigation continues.
