The owner of the Kawasaki motorcycle parked his bike on the street where he lived; this was in the downtown section of Brooklyn, confines of the 84th precinct. When he came down for it to go to work he found it missing.  He immediately called the New York Police Department 84th precinct to report the theft, when the police arrived they took a written report.  The NYPD entered the vehicle information into the state and federal database which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Kawasaki.

Within a short while police officers from the 81st precinct picked up the silent LoJack signal on their onboard LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that their vehicle was equipped with. This was in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, confines of the 81st precinct. They tracked the motorcycle through various streets of Bedford Stuyvesant; eventually they located the bike on a residential street. They staked the bike out for several hours, however when no one showed up for the bike they took it into custody. The bike was recovered, with slight damage to the right mirror.

The owner was contacted, and he was elated that his Kawasaki was recovered so quickly, especially with minor damage. He examined the bike and observed that it still had his lock and heavy duty chain on it; leading to the fact, that the bike was apparently picked up and transported in a van. He further stated that he was happy that when he purchased the bike he had it equipped with the LoJack® System. Because he knew that if it wasn’t for the LoJack® System his bike would not have been recovered so quickly, if it actually was recovered at all.

The LoJack® System was installed on June 2009 at Camrod Motorsport in New York.
