The owner of a 2015 PJTM dump trailer contacted the Dallas Police Department to report that his trailer was stolen from his business parking lot.   Surveillance video showed a suspect cutting the lock off of the front gate.  The suspect then left and returned with a rental truck. He then hooked up the trailer to the rental truck and drove off.

The Dallas PD verified the theft and entered the trailer information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the trailer.

Fifteen minutes later, officers with the Dallas PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen trailer with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that is installed in their patrol cars.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen trailer to a parking lot, where it was parked in the back of the lot behind several rental trucks.  The trailer was recovered in good condition.  Detectives are reviewing the surveillance video to see if they can identify a suspect.

The LoJack® System was installed in the PJTM trailer in December of 2014 via Commercial Sales.
