The owners of a Dodge Durango contacted the Lakewood Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.  The investigating police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Minutes later officers with the Denver Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Durango with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Dodge to South Ogden and Corona where the vehicle was recovered.

The Dodge was secured for the safe return to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Durango in July 2004 at Lithia Cherry Creek in Aurora, Colorado.
